| Ayah 1 Arabic: لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ English Transliteration: Lam yakun illadhīna kafarū min ahli al-kitābi wal-mushrikīna munfakkīna ḥattā ta’tiyahumu al-bayyinah English Translation: Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted (from their disbelief) until the clear proof came to them. |
| Ayah 2 Arabic: رَسُولٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً English Transliteration: Rasūlun mina Allāhi yatlū ṣuḥufan muṭahharah English Translation: A messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures, |

| Ayah 4 Arabic: وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ English Transliteration: Wa mā tafarraqa alladhīna ūtū al-kitāba illā min ba‘di mā jā’at-humu al-bayyinah English Translation: And the People of the Book did not become divided except after the clear proof had come to them. |
| Ayah 5 Arabic: وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ English Transliteration: Wa mā umirū illā liya‘budū Allāha mukhliṣīna lahu ad-dīna ḥunafā’a wa yuqīmū aṣ-ṣalāh wa yu’tū az-zakāh; wa dhālika dīnu al-qayyimah English Translation: And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and give zakah. That is the correct religion. |
| Ayah 6 Arabic: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ English Transliteration: Inna alladhīna kafarū min ahli al-kitābi wal-mushrikīna fī nāri jahannama khālidīna fīhā; ulā’ika hum sharru al-barīyah English Translation: Indeed, those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding therein. They are the worst of creatures. |
| Ayah 7 Arabic: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ English Transliteration: Inna alladhīna āmanū wa ‘amilū aṣ-ṣāliḥāt ulā’ika hum khayru al-barīyah English Translation: Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds — they are the best of creatures. |
| Ayah 8 Arabic: جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ English Transliteration: Jazā’uhum ‘inda rabbihim jannātu ‘adnin tajrī min taḥtihā al-anhāru khālidīna fīhā; raḍiya Allāhu ‘anhum wa raḍū ‘anhu; dhālika liman khashiya rabbahu English Translation: Their reward with their Lord is Gardens of Eternity beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will dwell forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears his Lord. |

1. Those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not to be parted (from their disbelief) until the clear proof came to them
2. A messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures,
3. Within which are upright writings.
4. And the People of the Book did not become divided except after the clear proof had come to them.
5. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and give zakah. That is the correct religion.
6. Indeed, those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding therein. They are the worst of creatures.
7. Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds they are the best of creatures.
8. Their reward with their Lord is Gardens of Eternity beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will dwell forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears his Lord.

1. Lam yakun illadhīna kafarū min ahli al-kitābi wal-mushrikīna munfakkīna ḥattā ta’tiyahumu al-bayyinah
