Tafseer (Ibn Kathir Summary)
Ibn Kathir explains that this Surah exposes the reality of those who claim faith but deny the Day of Judgment through their actions. Such people show cruelty to orphans, neglect the poor, and perform prayer without sincerity. Their worship is only for display, not devotion. The Surah teaches that belief is not limited to rituals; it must reflect mercy, humility, and compassion. True faith connects prayer with social responsibility and kindness.
